Conversations
2018 – 2022
In 2018, I attended a summer school at the Slade School of Art. Work that I have called ‘Conversations’ comes out of that experience.
The relationships and conversations between people is a linking theme.
I struggled through this period to find a language that worked. Montage, a non- descriptive use of colour, forms delineated with line were characteristics but increasingly more abstract elements come in as the only viable way to make something painterly and not illustrative.
